The Highest Average in the Philosophy Certificate

اعلى معدل في شهادة الفلسفة

Miss Samia Elias Makdisi has every right to smile this smile of triumph, for this year she attained the highest average in the examinations for the baccalaureate, part two (mathematics section) — and she is only eighteen years old!

It appears from Samia's academic record that she is a girl of superior intelligence, and her school history bears witness to it: she graduated from Ahliah National College in 1955 with high distinction, and in the same year she obtained the baccalaureate certificate in both its Lebanese and French divisions, also with distinction.

Samia spreads her activity over fields other than study: she is a member of the choir of the Lebanese Academy, well versed in rhythmic dance, and takes part in a number of humanitarian activities, chief among them her enrollment in the first-aid corps attached to the Young Women's Christian Association.

"The Woman's Voice" congratulates Samia Makdisi on this brilliant victory.
