In Society: The Wedding of the Sawaya and Ayyash Children

في المجتمعات: اكليل ولدي صوايا وعياش

During last Tishrin the Sawaya and Ayyash families celebrated the wedding of their two children, Alfred and Arlette, in the Church of the Savior of the Greek Catholics. His Grace Bishop Nab'a blessed the crowning, and the church was packed with those attending, family and friends of both sides. What added to the splendor of the celebration was the presence of an abundant number of the bride's friends and companions who had shared her school days; for the bride is a graduate of the American University of Beirut of last June, holding the B.A. degree in psychology (with distinction).

The celebration was among the most delightful and joyous of the season, distinguished by the beauty and arrangement of the church and its dressing with lovely white flowers, which, together with the bride's gown, seemed a single bouquet. As for her splendid dress, it was of white tulle and lace, adding luster and beauty to the beauty and radiance that already distinguish the bride.

The entry of the bridal pair into the church with her attendants was a majestic and beautiful sight, which lent a joyous and dignified air.

The bridal pair traveled immediately afterward to spend the honeymoon moving among the countries of Europe; and so we wish them a long life, full of gladness and happiness.
