The Children's Happiness Charity, under the Supervision of the Palestinian Women's Union

The "Children's Happiness Charity" was founded last April, 1957, through the zeal and under the supervision of the Palestinian Women's Union, which is headed by Mrs. Wadi'a Khartabil. It is a spacious house in Ras Beirut, fitted with the necessary furnishings, to shelter the healthy children of consumptives, to care for them, and to watch over their comfort.

The ages of the children at the charity range between one month and ten years, and in this house they meet with the best of care and recreation, thanks to the charity's directress, Miss Yusra Khayyat.

May God grant the ladies of the Palestinian Women's Union success in this worthy humanitarian service.

At the table of honor sat the association's president, Mrs. Hortense Tamer, surrounded by the official personalities, while the members of the association looked after the guests and assured a genial atmosphere.
