Oil Loading: The Oil Pipeline Reaches a Tanker on the Tripoli Shore

More than 22 million Lebanese lira was spent by the Iraq Petroleum Company in Syria and Lebanon over a period of nine years (1949–1957).

This sum includes salaries and wages, what was paid in the form of taxes and fees for the registration of aircraft, and what was paid to contractors and to the various local interests and agencies belonging to the Iraq Petroleum Company, and to the interests and companies with which it dealt in the Syrian Republic.

The Iraq Petroleum Company has contributed, and still contributes, to stimulating the economy and its flourishing in Syria and Lebanon.
