A Dolls-and-Tea Party at the Home of Mrs. Eva Malik

One of the most charming novelties adopted by the "Women's Auxiliary" of the American University Hospital is the invitation to a tea party at which every guest brings a small children's toy, or else some contribution in money—the toys being used for the benefit and amusement of the poor patients in the "children's ward" of the American University Hospital.

This year's party was held on April 28 last, at the home of Mrs. Eva Malik, and the house filled with some two hundred ladies. Such attendance is proof of our ladies' recognition of the value of the services which the "Women's Auxiliary" association renders to the sick... For its members, most of them wives of the doctors and professors, are charged with more than one project for raising money to this end. They have, in addition to this annual party, the dance, a shop for the sale of secondhand clothes, and another for the sale of flowers and gifts for the patients, which anyone entering the hospital notices on his left.

The "Women's Auxiliary" association is active and useful and deserves from our ladies in general every encouragement and support.
