Some of us seek fame, but we all wish to be loved by the circle of our acquaintances, whether that circle be small or large. Check your rating of popularity and measure it against these twenty questions concerning your heart, your head, your temper, and your good looks. If you score 20 "yeses," you are in the ranks of the angels; 15, and you have many friends; less than 10, and the time has come to do something about it.

The Head

1 - Do you speak at least one language besides your own — French, for example, or English, or Russian?

2 - Is there any subject in which you take a special interest — such as history, or child care, or any form of sport or amusement, etc.?

3 - Do you believe that life is a delight because you can never finish discovering something new about it?

4 - Do you read a newspaper every day?

5 - Are you able to converse on any topic of the day?

The Heart

1 - Do you keep your old friends and at the same time make new ones?

2 - Do you listen attentively to whoever is talking with you, instead of thinking of something else?

3 - Do you accept a kindness graciously, so as to make other people feel their own importance, instead of always being the one who gives?

4 - Do you realize that shyness is a kind of rudeness, and that it is courteous to ask things of other people?

5 - Do you refrain from passing along and circulating gossip that is dangerous and hurtful to others?

The Temper

1 - Do you forgive and forget an offense easily?

2 - Can you bear a verbal argument without anger or personal bias?

3 - Do you refrain from shedding tears or scowling in order to get your own way?

4 - Are you quick to anger?

5 - Are you polite even toward those you do not particularly care for?

Good Looks

1 - The following measurements, in the opinion of the doctor, the artist, and the beauty specialist, are the proportions of health and beauty in a woman:

Height, 5 feet 4 inches. Chest, 35 inches. Waist, 37 inches. Hips, 37 inches. Neck at its base, 14.50 inches. Circumference of the ankle, 8 inches.
