The Sixth Arabic Poetry Competition Held by the British Broadcasting Station This Year

We have previously published the details of this competition, its conditions, and its prizes, and we return now to remind the poets of Lebanon that the poems submitted must reach the office of the Press Attaché — Rustum Pasha Street — Beirut, before the first of March 1946.

The competitor may choose one of the following subjects, as was set out in due course:

a – The League of Arab States.
b – An anthem of victory.
c – The peasant's hope.
d – The nightingale.

There are other conditions, published earlier, to which anyone wishing to compete would do well to refer. There will be three prizes: the first of ten pounds, the second of five, and the third of three.

Whoever wishes to take part in this competition should send his poem signed with a pen name, and enclose with it a sealed envelope giving his real name and his pen name, to the following address:
