Future is but a Shadow
Future is but a Shadow · Sonia Zacharia
Sitting and Knocking, and Knocking,
and Knocking,
I Knocked all my life away
Sitting and Knocking, and Knocking,
and Knocking,
I saw every future ray ;
On the top of the cliffs
A shadow hands on hips
Was standing there astray..
I went to it nearer
As if awakened by a hearer
The shadow... passed away...
Sitting and Knocking, and Knocking,
and Knocking,
I Knocked all my life away
Sitting and Knocking, and Knocking,
and Knocking,
I saw every future ray ;
On the top of the cliffs
A shadow hands on hips
Was standing there astray..
I went to it nearer
As if awakened by a hearer
The shadow... passed away...
