Salwa Mufarraj Rafeh

سلوى مفرج رافع

It is a grievous calamity that has fallen upon the Rafeh family and the Mufarraj family in the loss of the late Salwa Mufarraj, mourned for her youth and her character, wife of Mr. Bahij Rafeh. God took her to Himself following an incurable disease against which the tenderness of her husband, the anxious devotion of her beloved brothers, and the prayers of her father and mother were of no avail. The notables of Beirut, the Koura, and the Mountain walked in the funeral of the young departed, weeping for this withered youth and weeping for the lofty character of the departed.

The family of The Woman's Voice, feeling the enormity of this calamity — for strong bonds of affection join it to her family — offers its due condolences to her husband, her parents, and her brothers, Dr. Afif, Messrs. Sami, Albert, and Iskandar, and Dr. Ibrahim, asking God to pour fair consolation into their hearts. Amen.
