The Lebanese Legation in Baghdad

المفوضية اللبنانية في بغداد

Last month a group of students of the American College for Girls in Beirut visited Iraq and stayed at the School of Arts, guests of the Iraqi government, which arranged for them — under the direction of Miss Adiba Ibrahim Rif'at, directress of the Primary Teachers' Training College for Women — delightful programs and pleasant excursions to the ancient sites and to the great institutes and institutions; and they met with such warm welcome and fine hospitality from the Iraqis as their tongues were unable to express, or to give thanks for..

On this occasion Mrs. Yusr el-Solh, wife of the Honorable Kazem Bey el-Solh, Lebanon's Minister Plenipotentiary in Iraq, gave a splendid tea party at the Lebanese Legation.

The picture shows the hostess surrounded by the guests, the signs of joy and delight drawn upon their faces.
