The Ceremony of the Modern Institute for the Teaching of Cutting and Sewing

* The Modern Institute for the Teaching of Cutting and Sewing held a ceremony, under the patronage of the Director of National Education, for the distribution of diplomas to the graduating girls.

The ceremony was attended by a gathering of the most distinguished ladies and gentlemen, and speeches were delivered at it by the Misses Layla Nasr, Nadia Suleiman Najba, Violette Dagher, Laure Nasr, Marie Habib, Laurence Dagher, and Suhayla al-Suqi. The theme of the speeches turned upon the abundant benefits that the girls of today and the mothers of tomorrow reap from this institute... And the Director of National Education delivered a kind word in which he expressed his admiration and appreciation for the successful efforts the Modern Institute is making.
