Who Ordained for the Living This Decree (Verses beneath a Picture of a Bride and Groom)
من سنّ للاحياء هذا القضا (أبيات تحت صورة عروسين)
Who ordained for the living this decree,
and traced for lovers these paths?
For life is neither mother nor father,
nor brother, nor sheltering kin... but a beloved!
من سنّ للاحياء هذا القضا
وخطّ للأحباب هذي الدروب
فالعمر لا ام ولا والد
ولا أخ ولا حمى ... بل حبيب !
