Blanche Abboud Mufarrij

بلانش عبود مفرّج

Death is the end of every living thing. People accept it, great and small among them, rich and poor, with the submission of weak man, whose power is limited... Death wounds grievously and burns with pain, and it is most painful of all when it strikes youth in full bloom, like one who cuts down a fresh rose at the very height of its opening.

The rose cut down from our gardens on the fifth of last month was the late Blanche Abboud, wife of Mr. Sami Mufarrij. She passed away after a grave illness against which the outlay of the widest medical resources, and the tenderest solicitude of the whole company of family and friends, were of no avail.

The Woman's Voice, grieved to the heart by this affliction that has befallen one of our friends, extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Sami Mufarrij and his brothers, asking solace for their hearts and, for the departed, the paradise of bliss.
